Acrylic Fill or Full Set? What to Ask Before Booking

When your acrylic nails are ready for another appointment, a fill may be an option, but it is not the right booking for every existing set. At Happy Nails & Spa in Kissimmee, Acrylic Fill + Gel starts at $40 and Full Set Acrylic + Gel starts at $50. The technician should confirm which service fits your current nails and the result you want.

When to ask about a fill

A fill is a maintenance request for an existing acrylic set. Tell the team when it was applied, whether any nails need attention and whether you want to keep the length and shape. Mention lifting, breakage or any part of the set that concerns you before the appointment.

Do not assume that choosing a fill guarantees the existing product can be kept. The technician may need to inspect the set before confirming the work. A photo can help explain your request, but it does not replace that assessment.

When to discuss a new full set

A full set is the menu option to discuss when you want a new acrylic set. If you currently wear another product, mention that too. Wanting a different look does not automatically tell the salon whether you need removal, reshaping or a new application.

Bring a reference for the finished length and shape. Explain which details matter most: a short everyday style, a French finish, a particular tip shape or artwork on selected nails. This helps the team discuss both the service and its quote.

Understand starting prices and additions

  • Acrylic Fill + Gel: from $40.
  • Full Set Acrylic + Gel: from $50.
  • Acrylic Soak Off: $15 on the menu.
  • Nail Repair: from $10.
  • Longer nails, special shape, French details and nail designs: separately listed from $5.

These are menu entries, not a promise that every appointment has the same total. Ask for the quote for your actual set, including any removal, repairs or design. View the acrylic and dip service page for the main options.

If you have dip, gel or an unknown product

Tell the team what you know about your previous appointment. An acrylic fill should not be booked as a catch-all for dip powder or gel polish. If you want to change from one product to another, describe both the existing product and your preferred finish.

For a dip request, see the overlay versus tips guide. For color on your natural nails, review gel manicure options.

Make the request clear

Before calling, write down your current product, any nails needing attention, the length and shape you want, and your design reference. If you are visiting Kissimmee and need a repair, our vacation nail repair guide has a useful checklist.
